At Home With Sally

Home is the place where the whispers of God’s love are heard regularly, the touch of His hands is given intentionally throughout the day, the words of His encouragement and affirmation pointed to lay the foundation of loving relationships where a woman conducts the beauty of this life within its walls. I hope you will find inspiration to cultivate such a life. I welcome you here!

I just wanted to say that this episode really spoke to me when you talked about how following God can look messy and how at the end of the day us women who choose to follow Him might be asked to love our husbands and children even when it is not easy. I have a child with severe ADHD, SPP, and ODD. He is my second of four. I have a husband who is sort of the grown up version of my son. Our marriage did not start rooted in faith. And my husband and son can be very hard to love, very hurtful and very difficult and it renews my spirit to adjust my thinking and know that loving them may be my greatest calling. That perhaps my giving of myself and receiving “nothing” back is really me walking with God in the most intimate way. Thank you for the gift of this perspective. God Bless.

I really needed to hear this today as it was particularly soothing being under the weather today with six children at home. Loved your comment about personalities as I was created an INFP and have found it has helped me understand a bit more about myself and relating to others as I’ve learned about that. Thank you for the encouragment and please know how much I appreciate the value of the wisdom you have shared. Have a Merry Christmas!

Love this! Be grateful in all things - I’m getting this a little bit more every day. Thank you, Jesus.
